MAINTENANCE TIPS WHEN USING FOUNTAIN TIP NIBS

Regular Cleaning

•  Weekly flush – Run warm water through the nib and feed to prevent ink buildup
•  Deep clean monthly – Soak the nib unit in lukewarm water for 15-20 minutes, then gently flush
•  Avoid hot water – Use only lukewarm water to prevent damage to delicate components
•  Pat dry gently – Use a soft, lint-free cloth after cleaning

Ink Care

•  Change ink regularly – If not using your pen for 2+ weeks, clean it out to prevent ink from drying
•  Use quality ink – Stick with reputable fountain pen inks to avoid clogging
•  Never mix inks – Thoroughly clean between ink changes to prevent chemical reactions

Storage & Handling

•  Store horizontally – Keep pens lying flat when not in use to maintain ink flow
•  Cap when not writing – Always replace the cap to prevent the nib from drying out
•  Avoid extreme temperatures – Heat and cold can affect ink consistency
•  Handle the nib carefully – Never force it or tap it on paper

Compatible Ink Types

•  Water-based fountain pen inks – The most common and recommended type for all fountain pens
•  Dye-based inks – Waterman, Parker and Pilot Iroshizuku inks are high quality inks for fountain pens.
•  Specialty inks – Iron gall inks, shading inks, and shimmer inks all work with this nib
